OPP/ Johnnes Neg.!

I recently had the entire mature flock blood tested for both Johnnes & OPP. This includes my new ram from Maryland, and the two ewes from Gail. Results were sent to the stringent MN lab, which is know to err on the side of false positives rather than false negatives.

We are OPP & Johnnes negative! Whoop! :)

WAY TO GO LADY!! WOHOO!! I'm SO excited and relieved FOR you!! :)

I bet it was nerve wracking waiting for the results, even though I'm sure they would all be negative. I go through that whole ordeal too...sitting and waiting and thinking bad things, when everyone was negative :)

Good Job!

Thanks you two.
I had been planning on doing this someday for years.
I didn't think I had any problems, but now that I'm thinking about closing my flock for the most part, I figured there was no better time than the present. It was easy! The vet took the blood, and took care of sending it out and everything. I'll test all new additions when I do buy.
Johnnes scares the heck out of me more than anything else.
